A1 Level Swedish language course
A1 level Swedish (CEFR) course is the first and beginner level. The duration of the course is 60 study hours divided into 20 lessons plus 10 conversation sessions. The compulsory part of the course is 40 hours and conversation part (additional 20 hours) is recommended but not compulsory. Candidates participating in A1 do not need to have any preknowledge.

Intended Learning Outcomes
Candidates who have completed the A1 course are expected to know and be able to:
- Understand essential words and everyday expressions.
- Introduce and tell general information about oneself and other people.
- Ask and understand simple questions.
The A1 level covers everyday vocabulary and phrases and modules as Personal life, Health & Body, Family, Accommodation, Shopping, Work & Money.
The main grammatical focus is the structure of Swedish nouns, conjugation of adjectives, verbforms and straight word order and question sentence word order.
The main exercising form is listening, reading, and pronunciation.
Candidates can take this course both in real-time and at their own pace as a course.
