Nordic Skating ⛸️

Are you looking for outdoor activities in cold winter? Then Ice skating on a lake is maybe something for you ? Norrvikens Sjöisbana , The ice track on Norrviken lake is really amazing spot to go Nordic Ice Skating ( when it is frozen ).

You will experience something something unusual, unless if you do not come from Northern countries. The length of the track is 14 kilometers ( 8.6992 US miles ). There are three turning points in case you want to have small 3.5 km, medium 7km or a large track 10.5 km.

You can come here alone or with family/friends. Sollentuna Skridskosällskap (Sollentuna Skating Club) is renting ice-skater and even does grinding service. Here you can buy coffee , buns and grill . There is also ICA ( grocery shop ) next to Norrviken’s station , there you can buy food, buns, beverage and everything else to make your day cozy.

The easiest way to get there is if take Pendeltåg ( Commuter train to Norrviken ) , but of course, the lake is big and you can enter it from other places too, like Häggvik, Rotebro, and Bollstanäs.

In case you come buy car there is a free parking place.You can enter the ice track any time ( when the lake is frozen ) but for coffee and grill, they are open on Saturdays and Sundays:
