Swedish for Professionals

A2+/B1+ Level Swedish language course

Swedish for Professionals (SFP) is B1/B1+ level course (CEFR) intermediate and upper-intermediate level. The duration of the course is 60 study hours divided into 20 lessons plus 10 conversation sessions. The compulsory part of the course is 40 hours and conversation part (additional 20 hours) is recommended but not compulsory. Candidates participating in this course must have the preknowledge that is expected when completing B1-level.

In the third module vocabulary related to:

Swedish labour law:

This module introduces the key laws and regulations that shape working life in Sweden. Students will learn about the Employment Protection Act (LAS), the Work Environment Act, the Discrimination Act, the Working Hours Act, the Parental Leave Act, and the Annual Leave Act. The course covers practical topics such as employment contracts, working hours, vacation, parental leave, workplace safety, equality, and protection against unfair dismissal. It also explains the role of trade unions and collective agreements. With a balance of theory and real-life examples, the module equips participants with essential knowledge of both employee rights and employer responsibilities in the Swedish labour market
